After your event, packing up rental items the right way helps ensure a smooth, worry-free return—so you can continue celebrating those great memories instead of chasing down missing parts or clarifying details. We’ve put together a step-by-step return guide below to help your process go smoothly every time.
Step-by-Step Return Instructions
1. Gather All Materials
Collect every item from your rental kit, including small accessories, connectors, chargers, and décor elements. Refer to your original packing slip or confirmation email—it lists every item included. Double-check under tables, in storage bins, and around your event space to make sure nothing is left behind.
2. Clean & Prep Items
Wipe down décor, tableware, and props with a soft, damp cloth to remove any dust, crumbs, glitter, or spills. Allow textiles and electronics to fully air dry before packing to prevent moisture issues. For party kits with kitchenware or serving equipment, empty and rinse thoroughly—no need to wash in a dishwasher, but please remove food or beverage residue.
3. Repack in Original Packaging
Place each item back in its designated box, tray, or padded container. Our specialty and electronics items are carefully packed to avoid damage; reusing the original foam, bubble wrap, or dividers helps protect fragile pieces in transit and ensures items arrive back ready for the next celebration.
4. Seal Boxes Securely
Use the provided tape or your own packaging tape to close and seal each box. Attach any included return labels or packing slips to the outside of the main carton. If you purchased return shipping, use the pre-paid return label included in your kit.
5. Schedule Pickup or Drop-off
Check your order confirmation for pick-up details. If you selected delivery & pickup service, our team will arrive within your scheduled window. For mail-back or drop-off returns, head to your chosen drop-off location listed in your instructions.
Common Return Issues (and How to Avoid Them)
Missing Items: Double-check every box and pouch—especially tiny pieces, cables, or decorative accents.
Damage from Improper Packing: Always use original packaging. Damaged or unprotected items may result in fees.
Damp or Dirty Goods: Items must be clean and dry. Damp linens or electronics may be subject to cleaning/replacement charges.
Late Returns: Adhere to your scheduled return window to avoid late fees.
Unlabeled Boxes: Affix provided return labels so our team can process your return quickly.
